An oldie – two cameras ago. When I saw the amount of blue in front of me as we walked through Honfleur I just had to give it a go. Couldn’t avoid the edge of the jetty on the right.Β  Exif data is: Sony A300 with DT 18-70mm set at 20mm. 1/100 @ f14. ISO 100.
Not absolutely sure but I believe I had a polariser fitted at the time. I did not need to add much saturation in processing. Cropped a little from the right and the bottom to remove some minor distractions.

Thanks Graham. We are “semi-arid” here in the Nicola Valley. So, even when it snows, it is a “dry” snow. Dry cold too – which I prefer over the damp, soaks into your bones cold that they get on the coast. But our humidity inside the house often reads in the low 20s which is tough on noses and throats. Thus, the kettle!

Thank you so much Ajithaa, Β the art of photographing water drops colliding, creating the most unusable and intriguing shapes … they can be simple yet so complex … it simply amazes me to see the various shapes that two water drops create when they are colliding with each other. Β Short version – I used a Macro lens, water and speed lights to capture the movement.

Sad what people leave for others to pick up.Β  (referring to blue gloves)

John isn’t interesting that nature puts blue and orange together.

Yes, Frank, it is interesting to see nature’s colors.

His hair color is similar to the rust and falls in lines paralleling the rust pattern flowing down the building. He is definitely well placed in the scene.

As you can see from the image I posted above, I love rusty tones too and you captured them perfectly!

Thanks! I like your use of an unconventional backdrop for what looks like a portrait.
