Looks like Colorado these past few weeks… A portion of Rocky Mountain National Park has been lost. Don’t know how much yet, as they are still fighting the fire and are just now getting some surveys done. From what I can tell, part of the Moraine Park was damaged, which is where we all go to photograph the Elk during rut, and possibly the Bear Lake area. Lost about 100 homes in the Granby/Grand Lake area. So far Estes Park is still safe. The snow came just in time, and is helping.

2020 is, indeed, a terrible year…

I’m not 100% certain I understand the concept correctly. Read some additional articles and all the posted images help. This is a portrait (taken with permission) – spontaneous and just 2 quick shots. Balancing the dark with the light is what I saw with only a little color in the snack bag.

This building is a large nurse accommodation with rows and rows of small square windows all equally spaced i lined the center up as best i could and fired off a number of shots , i had pre visualized the end result knowing i would be able to post process it with some added motion leaving the 1 square dead center untouched.

Landscapes get hard with Smokey skies from all the forest fires, until you get a few rainy days, it seems the sun isn’t your friend these days. I wouldn’t have even seen this short of the dog begging me to pull over to pee, That’s a important thing to keep in mind in the Wyoming Prairie, you never know what’s over the next hill and where the Trails will take you.
