      Thanks @davidc. The background is just some random colours I drew on my ipad. The glass sits on the iPad and away you go. The first one is oil and water. The second is tiny air bubbles trapped by the surface tension.

  My first photo of the year: Red tulips – no Christmas without them. Important for sanity when locked indoors because of storms and ice, howling winds in your ears and darkness engulfing everything for 20 hrs a day…..

    Hi Richard, you are now in a Weekly Challenge forum, which means the photo can be with any type of camera, including mobiles. And the weekly challenge subject is given at the top, this changes every week. 🙂
    These two photo fit into this thread perfectly. I like them both, but agree with Patrick, the b/w has more impact.

  @patrickw Thanks Patrick. Though that image had more shadow detail when it was in color, removing the color it lost some shadow detail. This one has a little more.. Taken with my Note 10 plus.
