Two very strong images Elin , It must be nerve wrecking for the people who live close by.

Thanks Patrick. The nearby town was evacuated after series of hard earthquakes last autumn – followed by four eruptions threatening to destroy it, as well as The Blue Lagoon and a big power plant nearby. Construction of protection walls have held the lava at bay so far. It is not over yet – we are expecting the next eruption in late August- September. No fun at all.

And it’s not like once it happens that’s it , this is for life i hate to say but fingers crossed everything settles for a long spell , it must be awful.

@patography The bubbles in the center of the image almost look metallic.

Did they appear that way naturally or did you perform any processing which gave you that effect?

the solution was in a metal pot on a stove w burner on low heat which produced the varied sized bubbles. Processing was sharpened and when I increased saturation got a little color.
