Allows Edits? YesIf we think of technology as tools to manipulate the environment, what came to mind is the female cicada’s thin round black ovipositor she uses to saw and drill into tree trunks to lay eggs. Here it’s already inserted into the tree (coming from her abdomen).

Really? That’s interesting. I bet they didn’t have to stretch out face down on an icy path in sub-zero weather though!!! 🙂

Teasels, specifically the Fuller’s Teasel (Dipsacus sativus), were cultivated for their stiff, spiny seed heads, which naturally have small hooks. These hooks were ideal for raising the nap on woollen cloth, a process that lifts the surface fibers to create a soft, even texture and remove knots or unevenness
. Unlike metal tools, teasel hooks could yield under resistance, preventing damage to the fabric while still effectively teasing out the fiber-

They really are prickly to the touch and very robust. I guess pre industrailisation the “teasing” of wool was done manually using these.

I’ve never tried reversing a lens. I’m a bit paranoid about keeping dust off the camera sensor. It will be interesting to hear how your next attempt goes.

This is intriguing @patography. We could do an entire challenge just on reversing lenses, well, after a tutorial about how to actually do it. I love the dream-like quality of this image.
