Peak action photography is the technique of capturing a fast-moving subject at the exact split-second when movement reaches its highest point or most dramatic peak.

Think about … continuous auto focus, burst mode, fast shutter speeds, low angles.

I had an Acquaintance on the west coast that did this sort of stuff on the water, he had some legendary bruises. But as a EX Short Track Racer on Brake less speedway bikes, I never judged.

This was taken at the Pipeline on the North Shore of Oahu.  The waves were gigantic.  It was very daunting just watching.  I cannot believe people attempt to surf there.

The rings are from the fountain spray, @retiredgrunt. We got a fountain that was supposed to attract the hummers. This is the only one I ever saw in 3 years head for a drink!  Thank you so much.
