Last in our Decisive Moments set … Natures Decisive Moments!

Use timing and patience to capture natures decisive moments.

Think about … subject, anticipation, burst mode, fast shutter speed.

Such an interesting shadow effect on the water in an already strong minimalistic photo.

The differing levels of shading and the abstract art reflection of the bird in the water, very enjoyable photo.

The lack of wind and the light fog help this shot immensely. That is the jpeg file from the X-T2 I had at the time.

I really enjoy how you work with the fog and clouds feels like a little mystery with a dramatic undertone.

Thank you @retiredgrunt. From a size perspective, the “calving” from the glacier was the size of a two-story building.

That’s cool Stefanie, love how the snail is bridging the gap and is perfectly centered. Did you see this coming and wait for the moment or walk upon it just in time?

Thanks Robert, I stood on the deck looking like a loon waiting to see what this little guy would do. I had no idea that snails bridged like that. If my neighbors saw me, they are still laughing.

That’s a nature photographer that sits and waits for the right moment, never even knowing if it going to happen, I’ve waited hours for the passing of clouds to line up just right.
