Love these tobie i especially like the zebra photo i have always been drawn to them , i even have a fairly large canvas with a pair drinking at a water hole on my wall.

Thanks Patrick. Yea the zebras make nice portraits – probably because of the symmetric lines in their faces.

Allows Edits? YesWell, I guess I fall inbetween: elephant is higher on my viewing list than zebra and giraffe, but these 2 images are more fascinating to me than the cape buffalo or black rhino, and leopard more than lion……
Great capture of the giraffe tongue, Tobie. I guess this is a male because the knobs are bald. Don’t females have some tufts of hair on their knobs?

I think we are kind of spoiled here in SA Anne – Ele’s are so common that we do not give them the appreciation they deserve. I hardly ever take shots of them. Leopards are certainly more appreciated than lions, due to their scarcity.
You are quite right about male / female giraffes. The males’ knobs are believed to be bald because of their usage in fights.
