Some subjects work so well when converted to Black & White as these photo’s show – great composition and conversions and yes without the power lines is better..Check It Out

Beverley Aston replied to the topic yep… I am still around in the forum General Photo Chit Chat 9y, 10mo ago
Know exactly how you feel as I’ve been and sort of still there where I don’t even ‘see’ the subject to be able to get the shots I want, I just snap away taking loads of shots and then just press delete button but it will change I’m sure…it better had or perhaps we could set up a section for ‘has beens’ where we post words and no photo’s…[Read more]

After a few years of being a ‘colour girl’ I’ve at last started venturing into mono and one thing I have already learnt is that there are some subjects that seem to really suit conversion to mono as in my opinion this shot does. I also have Silver Efex but at times have found it to overdo the sharpening and at times maybe even the strength of the…[Read more]

Ok I’m there now Andre and wouldn’t I just love to see a scene like that with so many flowers. Do you have a close up of the actual flower that would be good to see?

Thanks for the reminder with this beautiful photo of how good the sunsets are over in Cape Town, having the children playing in the waters edge helps to lead the eye into the distance and the strong colours of the sky!!

Aaaah been there and I know these trees !! 🙂
For me I do like the angle you’ve taken the shot from especially as it includes the splash of red from the pot in the distance. I agree that if you can remove the signpost on the lawn that would be good. The trees and the roots are so huge and spread out that they are not easy to shoot to show…[Read more]

We always think of Dandelions as weeds and dig them up but when you see them close up as in this lovely macro shot we see how pretty they are and so bright and colourful – perhaps I’ll have a rethink when I see one growing in the lawn!! 🙂Check It Out

Breaking the rules in this instance has worked so well as you’ve really made sure that the doorway is there bang in the middle and everything else around it is also even on both sides..
Rules are there to be learnt and then allowed to be broken – well in photography of course !! 🙂Check It Out
