Oh dear @tersha – seems that google are attempting to take over the world! Anyway, I found him on Flickr for you. If you don’t already know him, have a look at his other photographs too – personally I think his work is astounding Check It Out

Thanks @admin for the video – I have been using the new beta version of Flickr and it doesn’t have the “grab link” feature (amongst many others, although in many ways it is very good). Anyway, I’ll go back to old version then. Appreciate your help! Maybe worth a mention in the instructions of how to post a link that you need to use the old…[Read more]

David Adshade replied to the topic My printer has be baffled!!! Help Stalkers in the forum General Photo Chit Chat 10y, 1mo ago
@nikon-nut I don’t have a printer myself so I take my images on a flash drive to have them printed. Having gone through numerous trial and error attempts at various places I cannot find any consistency to my print jobs and have to judge the best I can on my monitor before printing. The guys I’ve dealt with tell me that it depends on software and…[Read more]

David Adshade replied to the topic Sharp focus in the forum General Photo Chit Chat 10y, 1mo ago
Yep, @nikon-nut – It is a pain and I find that my glasses get all smudged! Since I originally posted this back in January I have been using manual focus whenever possible and find that helps a little, but it’s not always feasible. Unfortunately even with the diopter dial all the way up as far as it will go my focus is still blurry so I’m stuck…[Read more]

SelfieA young Nikon posing for a selfie with a very old friend. I was unsure of which forum this could go into so I decided to throw it in the Shark Tank and see what happens. It was taken using only window light. I don’t posses a studio or any lighting gear so this is about the best I can come up with. Cable shutter release with the cameras…[Read more]

Okey dokey @redman! Please give me a few days – we are between homes and everything is packed in boxes all over the place which is partly my motivation for mentioning it here đŸ™‚ I know where all this gear is, I just have to get at it and sort through so I can email you the detail and some photographs.Check It Out

Film cameras & gear up for grabs?Hi. My late sister left her sixties and seventies film cameras, flashes, meters etc. with me. I no longer have the space to keep it all and because it is decent quality and sentimental, I don’t just want to take it to a “junk” dealer or throw it away. I won’t go into all the detailed descriptions here, but if you…[Read more]

David Adshade replied to the topic African grapes in the forum The Shark Tank Feedback Forum 10y, 2mo ago
@pmarione It’s all in the timing!! This is not really for a wine ad, but more as a filler series of ever-changing photographs that I use in a property newsletter and blog I produce and send to my real estate clients. Thanks for the positive notes @nikon-nut – it was really an unintentional shot and perhaps had I spent more time composing it I…[Read more]

African grapesI took this for a local e-newsletter in the wine region of Durbanville in the Western Cape SA. The blend of textures between the wood, leaves, wire and grapes makes it interesting to me. It also loosely resembles the map of Africa which seemed fairly apt. Any thoughts to improve? BTW – the bunch will most likely be in a wine vat by…[Read more]

My eye is drawn to the expanse on the right of the shot and the little dot (a swimmer?) just below the horizon. Beautiful warm colours – must have been lovely there!Check It Out

To me the colours clash, but that’s only my personal opinion. Lovely composition, perhaps the leaves at the bottom could be cropped a little? Thanks for the detailed camera information! Must take a leaf out of your book (so to speak…)Check It Out

@pmarione I have lightened the shadows more although I think the sunset has lost its intensity in the process. I think this shot has had enough time spent for now – need to move on to the next one! However, I understand where you were coming from and appreciate your suggestions. @gmkennedy and @parhampbaker your suggestions are also very helpful.…[Read more]
