Wow – thank you @jasenkag! And thanks for all the comments ! It made my day when I saw this – in fact in a week where I have come off my bike, and suffered, among other injuries, a displaced fracture of my ankle – this has been a highlight, so thank you!

Thanks @dahliaambrose and @admin. Mom seemed pleased. I don’t often do these people shots and even less often approach the subjects to show them themselves. I really should do that more often.

Thanks @dahliaambrose for you nice comments.
Thanks @michael and @admin, for your feedback. I may well try something along those lines, when I get a moment. Because I enter a number of images into our club evaluations and also competitions, I try to pretty strictly follow their rules of only using my own textures, etc, to keep all of my i…[Read more]

Thanks @tersha, @robertapple and @dahliaambrose for the comments. I took the photo after an overnight camp to get meteor photo’s during the Delta Aquariids shower which peaked on Sunday morning. Got plenty of those but this simple drone image ended up being one of my favourites.

I got it. I’m not sure about the icon, but I got the results I wanted.
I needed to adjust the settings of the BRUSH.
Set the FLOW = 100 DENSITY= 100
I guess with the settings I had it would have taken an eternity to erase the mask.
I’m sure there are other ways, (as is the Adobe way) but at least I got what I…[Read more]

This one by Dahlia, @dahliaambrose, in the Mobil Monday May 2 challenge. The detailed foreground, placement of the person, the disappearing hills/mountains in the hazy background and the tones are sublime. The scene is serene.

Beth you’re right. So much to see that you’re sort of stunned and paralyzed and don’t know where to start. With the weather so poor and the fact there are no shoulders on the road, I missed a lot of shots when driving. So many panoramas lost when driving; but saved to…[Read more]
