Thanks. It definitely did the framing and leading line things. I just wish it was pointing towards something other than a street with cars parked for walkers/visitors. Still, it’s a nice place for a walk.

@dahliaambrose I’m trying to think which painter it reminded me of Gaugain or Van Gogh.

Thanks to both. I often see limbs and branches as pointing towards a subject. The caption was adapted for a story in my writing group too.

Thank you. She was definitely an extrovert while her husband in the background, was more the introvert. I got a few shots but this one I like the best.

Thanks for your comments, @annehornsby @dahliaambrose @robertapple
I’m so often drawn towards views that incite my calm (is that an oxymoron?) and am always encouraged when it helps conjure that feeling in others.
I’m personally not a bit fan of throwdowns so won’t start one of my own here. Feel free to initiate one though.

Thanks @robertapple @dahliaambrose
I am always drawn to the seeming paradox of hard and soft contrasts living comfortably in the same frame.

I do like that 1st one also. Timing is the toughest aspect of this project. Traffic was slow, so I was able to wait for perfect timing. But when I’m doing 60mph and I’m holding the camera at arms length, aimed at the passenger window as I’m about to pass what I want as a photo. Keeping my eyes on the road and anticipating when to…[Read more]

Dahlia, Thank you.
I had this photo hanging on the wall in my office when I was employed by DOD and worked on an Army post. It always generated conversation. Once of the funniest responses was from a very young soldier. When I told him when I took the picture, he paused and said, “My parents hadn’t even met yet… ” Wow, did we laugh.

I find that I have developed a tendency to rush my editing when I return home from a session in the field. I want to see what I got and don’t spend enough time considering what all I should do with the image. Your feedback, even outside Shark Tank is valuable for the…[Read more]

Thanks y’all. It would be almost impossible to decipher without a title or explanation. That someone would find it worth a stare and attempt to identify it translates to a successful image, even if only a diversion.
