This is an interesting challenge, Lenny. You want the shutter speed slow enough to show movement but in your case it caused the legs to be slightly blurred. Ideal IMO would be to have the legs either sharply in focus (as in @davidc‘s image) or also showing movement. For that, you’ll either have to go even slower on the shutter (creating its own…[Read more]

I think that is a great point @davidc – I mean, a photo that generates a physical response is the pinnacle in my book. When you can smell the sea. Or a piece of fruit. Or the stuffiness of a room. These things are my ceiling for photography and I haven’t yet seen too many AI images that can do it.

Thank you @davidc and yes it does. When I uploaded it on my PC, I first found it very confusing to my eye, but the more I looked at it, the more the geometric patterns began making eye-sense.

Think I’ve seen this one before. I marveled at it then and still do. The clouds make it seem the buildings may be smoking. The hues – it’s just one magnificent image @davidc

Thanks @davidc. The background is just some random colours I drew on my ipad. The glass sits on the iPad and away you go. The first one is oul and water. The second is tiny air bubbles trapped by the surface tension.

@davidc When this was posted, it was my pic for the week – and someone had already selected it. I am not surprised it became the POTW. Not only a wonderful catch in subtle hues, but the processing is remarkable!

This time POTW goes to @davidc and his shot of rail yard.
The image is a great example of how something can turn out magical if the photographer is in the right place at the right time. The lighting, colors, dust, sky, and location itself blend together pretty seamlessly and create this industrial, grunge atmosphere and poetic sense of…[Read more]
