This statue, The Pieta is found in the Cathedral of St. Paul in St. Paul, Minnesota. It’s a US National Shrine and Pilgrimage Site. I’ve been waiting to get back in here for a while now. It’s was closed off to visitors due to COVID for about a year.

@diripics This was my pick too for all the reasons mentioned. It is intriguing – a quick look and it looks like hands raised and fingers pointing. A longer look and its a herd bellowing to each other. I loved it.

Such an unusual and moody shot! This is not a typical zoom burst image and I find it even more intriguing because of that. It is also quite cinematic, like a still from some movie I’d really like to watch.

@diripics Oh yeah, I do like your crop better, I actually had it about that close, but backed off. I was trying to add some space, some lines and some depth, but found myself conflicted with that lower right corner. I cropped it in Lightroom and it just seemed to tight. But when I see your image it seems fine. Funny how that works.
