This time around we learn a little more about Jasenka, @jasenkag

What got me interested in photography doesn’t have much to do with visual arts. I’m a careful observer of people and when I was really young I enjoyed following people, even spying on them and annoying them by ta…[Read more]

• Tell us a little about yourself and your photography journey
I’ve been involved with photography since my early years in high school in the 1980s. I started with an old 35mm camera and learned the art of B&W processing in the school’s darkroom. Since then I’ve been pu…[Read more]

@drkrueger22 Aspect ratio is perfect for this scene but I would remove vignetting.

Hi there @drkrueger22, if you are worried about destructive methods, then you should work on raw, and develop your files via Adobe Camera Raw or Lightroom. There, you’ll find some nice vignetting tools under the lens correction pane.

Good to find out a bit more about you @drkrueger22
Yeah, all the achievements are issued manually. I have kind of avoided the automatic ones cos it leads to low quality posts. 🙂

@drkrueger22 I went onto a D90 then up to a D810.
If I am honest, the full frame opens up a world of things that I really love. But I still think the best photos I have ever taken were mostly on the D90.

@drkrueger22 – What size are you displaying the pics at? Are they soft at any size?
The old d70 was capable of plenty of sharpness and there are plenty of things I would try before I upgraded a camera body. (That being said, it is a very old model at this point).
Can you post some images for us to look at?

@drkrueger22 Hi Daniel, I agree with Tobie’s comment about having a silhouetted subject. Love the lens flare 🙂

Federico Alegria replied to the topic Doubling Up Filters? in the forum General Photo Chit Chat 7mo, 1wk ago
Hi there @drkrueger22
Yup, this is actually doable, and is called filter staking. Although, you need to consider that the more light interruptions you add, the more you’ll be affecting light’s quality. If you are going to do this, make sure that they are the best filters your budget allows you to buy.

@drkrueger22 Hi Daniel, this is a great image and works well in black and white.
I think the right side of the falls is too bright and takes all the attention. Maybe selectively darken the very bright areas a bit so that the mist starts to show? Not sure what you think 🙂
