Unfortuantely I can’t recreate this shot again. But I will make sure I get that one right. Thanks Again!Check It Out -

Yeah, agree with @ed-aldridge – the bottom of the photo cuts off at a slightly awkward place. Would like to see the deck he is standing on (or cut it out completely). Check It Out

@ed-aldridge Yeah, true enough but vignettes were considered an optical imperfection in early and even current cheaper lenses. While fashion changes, serious optical engineers do everything they can to get rid of vignetting in their lenses.
Still, I like them too đŸ˜‰Check It Out

@ed-aldridge I would try to change the lighting quite a bit. I would dodge (brighten) the dark bushes in the center and burn (darken) the light slope in the foreground.
Maybe even to crop the bottom quite a bit (That the slope from the left side touches the bottom of the frame in the middle). And possibly crop a tad from the top. Your image…[Read more]

Following the lovely words from @karamen and @ed-aldridge I attach the second photo from that session where I asked the person’s permission.
I only noticed back at home how well her lipstick and phone cover matched the door – I guess with practice I’ll learn notice such things straight away! Again, she was on her phone so I asked her to just…[Read more]

A series you can be proud of, @ed-aldridge! You showed bravery and creativity which I think are hallmarks of street photography. The third one, man on the cell, is such a sign of the times. Historic!Check It Out

@ed-aldridge
It is lit a bit, not floodlit on the exterior, but security lighting, it does look OK, but they seem to have stopped night shift in recent years. It used to be better as it has a couple of steam plumes that looked great with a long exposure at night.Check It Out -

OK @ed-aldridge, @admin
I’ll rest my case and await the new, revamped website. Meanwhile I’ll still post the odd photo.
Just before I sign off, I’m not against critique. If I were I would’ve stayed out of here. I think I have a hard skin and was really kicked around on other sites by critics whose work I could see and admire. By having…[Read more]

First attempts at street photos…Following advice from @ed-aldridge , I went to Soho the other evening to try and get out of my comfort zone and take some photos of people. Most of them were candid, for this particular one I checked with the guy if he was happy for me to take his photo. Nikon D7000, Nikon 50mm f/1.8. 1/200s, 50mm, f/2.8, ISO 800.…[Read more]

@ed-aldridge: I know this is not a gear forum and thank goodness for that. But I’m curious about the Pentax K3. It’s not a digital that gets much press here in the US. What features do you like about it as opposed to Canon or Nikon, etc?Check It Out

@ed-aldridge I really like your series!! I’m a bit of a street photographer myself, and have done my best work while in Europe. (much more interesting subjects IMO) I checked out your link to Peter Zelewski and what a fabulous photographer he is!! Definitely an inspiration. I do prefer his “across the street” series though. Thanks for sharing…[Read more]
