that lower right hand corner bugs me too. it’s foreground but doesn’t really do anything but take up space. aside from the lower right corner i wonder what a tripoded hdri shot would have looked like. there are other settings other than surreal and weird on hdr programs. once again on a tripod, maybe more sky on this shot with a long term…[Read more]

maybe they are just pasty white instead of over exposed. lol. didn’t even think of a polarizer. thanks!

opps. forgot the post. used LR5. warmed up some of the leaves on the trees. whites, blacks, highlights, shadows all played with.

Hello Everyone,
I captured this image in a honeymoon session here in Belize at a local waterfall around 2pm and slightly overcast skies. It was shot at 1000 ISO, f7.1,1/160,32mm. Used a 5DMkII, 17-40L for it. yeah. i might have considered fill flash as well or under expose the composition by a stop or so and then hit it with the flash to give it some more color and take down the exposure of the corners. i’ve seen a really nice shot where a leave was backlit. it gave the leave brilliant color. that image was cropped and seemed to work out well. that…[Read more]
