Robbie replied to the topic what's a good zoom lens foyer Nikon D7000 in the forum General Photo Chit Chat 9y, 9mo ago
I would like to ask you a few questions @fibonacci Did you attach your lens and just start shooting? A lot of new photographers do just that. Are you shooting manual or auto? As far as I know the kit lens is quite good but I’m not sure about the D series. Basically what you should be doing is calibrating your lens see here…[Read more]

@fibonacci, remember that it is only my opinion. Don’t change a photo that you like because of it. The Shark Tank is a great place to get input from others but take pictures of things because you like them and don’t worry too much about us critics.Check It Out

Thank you all for your thoughtful responses so far. I do see that it is blown out on the left side. I might try bringing down the highlights some just in the background as I can see they seem distracting? I wanted it a little bright and hazy but it’s feeling a little too overexposed. I’m trying to go for a bright, clean, relaxed feel.…[Read more]

@fibonacci, you’ll probably nail what you want using rear curtain bounce flash. Setup your camera on a tripod or put it on something solid and use the timer so you can get your hands off it when it fires. Set your camera to fire the flash on the second curtain, set your camera to expose for the trees (youll probably want to under expose for a…[Read more]

It’s as easy as 1, 1, 2, 3 @fibonacci (sorry, bad joke, but someone had to say it.)
Meter on the trees as they are now, and use fill light or bounce flash to illuminate the people & animal(s).

Thanks @fibonacci …if you click on any of my photos, you can see the EXIF Data. For these two you will see I used the following: ISO 100/125, f3.5, 18mm and 1/30ss.
Also…I did some editing in Lightroom to exposure, clarity and saturation. I had some pretty good photos but Lightroom was able to improve them. Check It Out
