@geolojay I think it has to start in camera. I’m certain he uses a tripod and as small an aperture (high number) and as low an ISO as possible to gain initial clarity. I’d try that first. I think you would find that to be the first hurdle before you ever get to post! He also […]

Thanks for the feedback @admin, I really appreciate that! I am thrilled to read your comments today!
@geolojay Excalibur is one of my favorite movies of ALL time, what a great reference to accompany this photo! I love your image here, the textures and details really came alive in the HDR processing. Great stuff!!!

@geolojay Sweet picture 🙂 And great loot. A friend of mine gave me a 50mm lens for my Nikon a couple years ago. Hard to believe I haven’t owned one before.

Actually Tom, like @geolojay I saw a loose adherence to the rule of thirds in that shot too. See, you think the rule of thirds is awesome sub-consciously! 😉 You keep saying that because it’s not exact then it doesn’t count, but unless you’re photographing a tic-tac-toe grid, nothing is ever going to be exact. Still […]

@geolojay – thanks for the complement even if I don’t understand a word of it. I also appreciate your way of looking at images. Its in the training I suspect. And that’s what this is all about; training. My point is if we continue to train people one way we may very well narrow their field […]
Oh I wish I could say there was something new. Seems I’m never going to get out of this rut with the economy and jobs. Say, I had an idea I wanted to get your opinion on. When are you going to be around, and do you have Skype?
I am intrigued! Hit me on email.
