I revisited this place this week for the Liverpool River of Light festival – lots of colour to see in the various buildings and installations but, while there, I had another go at the Canning Dock. I stuck with colour because it was night rather than blue hour and there was lots of colour to see.

Thanks for your comment, Beth. I may be getting confused. I believe that Clarkson owns a P-51 aircraft but drove a P50 car through central London – 200 miles from Media City, Salford – in 2007 – long before Media City existed.

Images of Media City are broadcast almost every day on the UK’s BBC public broadcasting news services. Mostly they are daytime wall to wall shots but I wanted to do some sunset and early evening images. Here is one of several I took yesterday.
Hi Dean, I too am fairly new to manual settings and, like you, I live quite a way from coast or mountains – or at least too far away to be able to travel with sciatica. I like your photo. There is loads of drama and interest there – though I do not have Rob’s experienced eye for the nuances.
