One of my other hobbies is microscopy, particularly objects from the natural world.
Yesterday we saw some algae in a tub and one of them is a blue-green algae also known as cyanobacteria.

I must admit this is a tricky one. Because I spent a lot of my photographic life trying to do good macro and have totally absorbed myself in the world of macro. For me its very specific. 1:1 life-size and above is macro, below that is close up. But the borders have become blurred and everyone tends to call any close up photo Macro.
