I vote for the color version! B&W looks a bit flat to me.

Great framing and yes, just like the others have already mentioned, very effective image. I agree with Lenny – I would crop the image a bit tighter.

I pretty much agree with Dahlia, you can shoot this type of scenes (still life) with various apertures and in the end pick what looks best.

I really like how neat this is – just blues and golden browns!

That’s great to know, since having a large number of short threads is pretty useless.

Great cropping and perfect example of filling the frame!

This week POTW goes to @joubie and her elephant portrait.
The black background works perfectly here – it feels as if the elephant was photographed in the studio (which would be rather fun).
Other than that, the lighting looks glamorous (again studio vibes!) and the image is really crisp in terms of details.
Congrats, Charmaine.

Beautifully caught moment, it feels like Italy back in the 50s or 60s, at least according to that I’ve seen in the movies. I would perhaps use wider aperture in this case, to separate the people from the background more.

Hi Greg, such a soft and ethereal image!
I think that the depth of field is maybe a bit to shallow, I would like to see the entire flower in focus.
