I stopped critiquing after the first day. Critiques by definition are not all negative. People learn by pointing out what is working in their images as well as what is not. They also learn the lingo of photography and how it applies to their work. Sorry I can’t do all negative.

I always learn when I critique so thank you for the opportunity to look at your work. color, sharpness, and light. Y our whites look well balanced and are not blown out. Horses always seem to be giving photographers their butts! I would crop the other horse out and cut a bit of the foreground. You might like that better. Keep shooting!

I always learn when I critique so thank you for the opportunity to look at your work. Having lived in West Texas I can appreciate a pump jack. Good use of the ‘Rule of Thirds. It does lend itself well to B&W. Try it again when the sky is a bit more dramatic. Keep shooting!

I always learn when I critique so thank you for the opportunity to look at your work. Lots of nice leading lines. I love the graphic shapes of the buildings which complement the lines. Color is nice. Contrast good, as is sharpness. I am not sure about the sky. I wish it had a few clouds but the I can see why you wanted to include it. Keep working.

I believe the contrast is a bit to high at lower left

I always learn when I critique so thank you for the opportunity to look at your work. I enjoy the dreamy low contrast. I like the “7” on the shirt. I believe if you had lowered yourself and (the camera) you might improve the image a bit more. Keep working.

Lovely motion and light in the water in both images. I do appreciate the detail in the highlights in the second but I think you may have lost s bit of contrast in that one.
