@jrw1497 I got the settings wrong after having a look I remembered the settings were from when I was star trailing but the settings I did use were ISO 500 F/5.6 1/400s 300mm and this was the pic I ended up with. The highlights were a little blown but it was my first shot and edit on the PC and not done any since.
I would reduce exposure slightly…[Read more] -

@jrw1497 To be honest I’m no expert at taking moon shots, I have done it a few times and I think they came out quite we’ll. I’m a little confused on the settings you used! or maybe I done mine in a odd way F16 1/2000 what time of the day or night did you take this? I also used a 300mm Sigma lens but my setting were no where near the same and I…[Read more]

I would redo the image just for the sake of the clouds then blend it into this image by using a brush as you have quite a bit of de-noise ring lines through a lot of the cloud plus as @michaell-lloyd pointed out their are some strange colorization going on.Check It Out

I looked at you’re image last night on my computer and now looking at it on my iPad it looks lovely on the iPad but on my PC it wasn’t quite working for me maybe it’s my monitor as it’s only a cheap thing but the black and white looked to light for the colour but here it looks nice and balanced .Check It Out

Hi @arthurr4 it would be nice to see what the image looked like without the painted effect as it looks like a nice capture. To be honest I don’t mind it but it’s an effect that went out years ago when I was using Instagram. If you are able to use layers I would blend this with the original and use an opacity of around 30-40% so you have more of…[Read more]

Thank you for the reply @rico27511 as I’m sure @tersha gets a little hacked off when people don’t put the settings and has to keep posting 🙂
Has to be from post processing. If you have Photoshop I would use the clone stamp tool, zoom in and press Alt to select the light or dark color you want to keep as you’re sky and brush through. You can…[Read more] -

It would be great if you could provide your camera settings @rico27511 I find the man to be a bit of a distraction and the sky to be a bit dirty, maybe due to a high ISO setting. Some cameras can achieve a lot lower ISO for long exposure night photography even as low as ISO 100. You also have some ghosting going on which is something that happens…[Read more]
