I like the idea of the shot. You’re in a great setting. My suggestions: the edge of the sign on the right side of the frame is a distraction. You have the horizon and end of the rock s intersecting, which makes me feel uncomfortable for some reason, looks like something got cut off. Also watch the time of day you take the shot, lighting seems…[Read more]

I think this photo has fantastic potential. crop: either too much or not enough. Perhaps if you cropped it and showed half his face to accentuate his sage wrinkled face and one piercing blue eye with the blue background on the right.
maybe adjust the exposure in the sky to try to show some detail, and tone down the exposure on his…[Read more]

Trying to find a negative comment to make (keeping with the ST theme), I suspect this shot wasn’t posed so it makes it difficult. Two items I’d comment on. the tree trunk in the background going into the elbow distracts me a bit. if you were one step or so to the left, it may have eliminated that, hopefully keeping the grass in the frame that…[Read more]

why ISO 450? I’m assuming this was shot handheld. If the light was too low, perhaps using a tripod, ISO 100 and either a lower f-stop 2.8 ish and even a longer shutter release (depending on wind effects, may produce a slightly sharper image.
I like the theme very much. My confusion is the technical side as to how you came up with the…[Read more]

@renaesoleil99, I didn’t mean to be racial. Some masking and exposure adjustments is what I was hinting at. 😉
You do bring up a good point though that I didn’t think about! 🙂Check It Out

A couple of things. 1. focus better. 2. the horizon is split in the center, get familiar with the rule of thirds and you’ll recompose this shot immediately. 3. Place on tripod.
Am I correct to assume that’s the moon? Have you applied any post editing to this shot or is this straight out of the camera?
I really like the intent of this…[Read more]

OK, trying to provide negative feedback. I think the shot would look better if it was a horizontally framed shot vs a square and a tad more saturation. Other than that, it’s a great shot. I’m a big fan of motorsports and have friends that shoot cars regularly. This genre I’m familiar with and really like where you’re going with it. Nicely…[Read more]

It looks like the top hand may be a tad overexposed. Perhaps pulling down the highlights or adjusting the overall exposure would provide more detail. Concept is great, needs a little more in post processing. Maybe crop it so it’s more of a vertical photo vs having the hands smack in the center.Check It Out

OK, to stay with the theme of negative feedback, I think to bump up the creepiness, perhaps push up the contrast and grain as well as ridding the fence on the left of much of it’s color.
So now to balance my comment. The sky makes the shot IMO. Regarding the previous comments about putting lights on in the house, I’d say keep them all dark…[Read more]

What I don’t like: the road isn’t centered in the pic. Perhaps it shouldn’t be, but it’s so close to center, but not quite there, so it’s annoying to me. The horizon is split too much in the middle, either provide more sky or more road in the frame. Perhaps apply a graduated filter in the top portion of the photo as the exposure seems a bit…[Read more]

I really like the curve in the road. I think the model in the center is actually a distraction and if she was removed the person in white makes the pic better OR you could have waited for the guy to get out of the frame and have her further to the right (perhaps between the farther trees on the right. Aslo the horizon is smack in the horizontal…[Read more]

My $0.02 = looks a little underexposed. I like the composition though! I think a bump in saturation in post editing would pop some of the color a bit more.Check It Out
