Thanks, Rob! I appreciate this feedback about technical excellence. I fiddled a lot with the settings to get a decent shot, so was lucky the bird stayed  fairly still. I’m never quite sure what qualifies as a macro compared to a closeup.

Thanks, Steve! It was funny when we saw Mama & Papa checking us out for a few days when they were deciding on where to nest. Then they were gone for a week or so. One morning I happened to look up at the fan & there was the nest. Mama must have insisted on it

 

Ha ha Robert, thanks! Hmm, I seem to remember you calling them flying rats. Fortunately, they’ve behaved very well so far & are interesting to shoot (photos not guns). I don’t think they want to be evicted.
