hehe thanks joanna, I’ll just use my hubby as a distraction for the mumma cows that should give me plenty of time lol. Great feedback everyone, I know it’s not that special a photo but it certainly allowed me to see some things I can work on for when I do take a great photo.Check It Out

Okay, how about this one?? I’m trying to incorporate all the things I agree with lol. Not so much cropping (hardly any) and some exposure fixing. Veronika that is exactly what happened, we were driving up my mother-in laws drive and hand to stop to get the cows out of our way hehe.

If you love old hotel/motel signs focus on that and use the rest just as added spookiness, i.e. fence and trees. The flair is distracting although a bit of light from that top corner to highlight the letters would be okay in my opinion. Maybe a bit more depth or contrast or something. I do love a creepy picture though 🙂Check It Out

I agree it seems a little “flat”, maybe some depth to the mountains or something as my eye is drawn up the photo from the bottom to the mountains and as it goes up it gets a little hazy. Love the bottom part though 🙂Check It Out

I think the low crop, with the rule of thirds I think in this case it needs to be broken, especially seeing the sky seems blown out. I think the colours could use a bit of a touch up as well. Check It Out

Here it is cropped and the exposure slightly fixed (still working on the exposure but I’m off to work).

Thanks everyone. I will fix the exposure and crop the horizon and see how it looks. I also thought it would have been good to get all the cows faces in the shot. To be honest it was just a quick shot without much thought but it’s all a learning process so it’s good to have all this feedback to help me think about my shots better 🙂Check It Out

I think it looks better now you have fixed the exposure on the horse and rider but maybe darkening the background back down may put more attention on the rider or as said above something about the flower box getting less attention. I think it’s interesting that the riders head is down and obviously ppl in the industry would understand the saluting…[Read more]

Something about the depth of shadows feels off, it looks a little washed out. But otherwise it has that spookiness to it that I enjoy in photos. Maybe if more of the mountain behind had been exposed it would have more impact but I’d still enjoy it.Check It Out

Glendale I hope this works, it’s my first time posting to a forum on this site. I just want any feedback on what others think can be improved in this photo. I can’t remember the settings because I took the photo over a year ago but it was on my Olympus e410 camera and would have been set on aperture shooting mode with auto shutter speed and no…[Read more]
