@nonacaremac Fun idea for sure! I actually prefer the original version, the tilted one looks too busy to me. But that’s totally subjective I think.

And I also really liked the creativity of this one from @nonacaremac

@nonacaremac Great idea Peter. I agree with Peter Nowak’s comment about cropping it close and the tilted frame 🙂

@nonacaremac Hi Peter, it definitely works. I remember these trees from the temple ruins in Cambodia and at first glance did not realise it was a mirrored effect. The God like thing works in the image and I agree with Jasenka. Maybe a bit more clarity and some pop in colours 🙂

@nonacaremac Hi Peter, I think your photo tells a story when looking at the foreground elements, but the background seems to take away attention from the foreground. Do you have a wider frame or maybe a different perspective?

@kens I like both of these, Ken, especialy the color. I think the sepia version needs more contrast, e..g., I would lighten the lighthouse.
@nonacaremac Peter, this image has inspired lots of experimentation with edits! I think Jasenka’s version is still my favorite.

@bgordon806 @nonacaremac Thanks Bruce and Peter, appreciate your input. A flash is my next purchase, been meaning to buy one for awhile. I am just getting into stacking, starting to play with it a bit, so see how I go. Maybe an ND filter would have helped with the over exposed areas. I do have slightly better shot, only the front tyre and…[Read more]

I like this a lot @nonacaremac but as Peter says, that green is a bit too turned up.
I totally hear what you’re saying about early HDR attempts. Just when Light Stalking was starting, I posted a HDR photo of a cow that was basically iridescent. It was a terrible photo (especially if you asked a pro), but people REALLY reacted to it. I got m…[Read more]

@davidc Ok.
@nonacaremac I was very surprised how much effective it is.

@nonacaremac Hi Peter. Cool image! As an abstract, I tried making the clamp and stems pure black to see if it made any difference – doesn’t seem to (1st and 3rd). Only suggestion if have is to delete the white in the frame and make it solid black, to complement the black in the objects.

Have spent a bit of time on this, Peter @nonacaremac, but still need to fine-tune. However, I think this is a much improved version. Although we are from New Zealand, Melbourne is our most visited Aussie city, mostly because we have had two sets of very close friends living there. Since your post I have been reading about the Travelers Scu…[Read more]

@nonacaremac I think all of these crops work nicely, but the ones that pop are the ones that separate the brown foam from the grey background.
I would be playing with this type of photo again if I were you – you could get something really great.

@nonacaremac Here’s my two cents – I would enhance the sky and avoid making this scene too bright or too dark:

@nonacaremac I also find the B&W compelling, Peter, but it’s telling a completely different story than the original you posted. The B&W is an intense street musician. The color version has the cool disintegration effects on the arm and accordion, which I really like. Title the images differently, and use both for different purposes? ? Ha…

Peter Nowak replied to the topic Back to trees !!! in the forum The Shark Tank Feedback Forum 3y, 8mo ago
@nonacaremac Good critic, Peter. Yes, both shadows are a little bit disturbing. There are a lot of socks high at the tree and it’s a problem to distinguish them.
@jasenkag Thanks for your opinion Jasenka.
Subject are the socks at the background of old building.
In fact it’s some “artistic” square where students of art school present their work.…[Read more]

@nonacaremac Interesting idea. I’ll try it.
