It’s underexposed. If shot in RAW, run a brush with clarity + warmth + contrast + exposure + saturation along the cloud bank, making sure not to get the photographer or the mountain. I would also go into the colors and move the blues a it more towards purple, that should make it really pop.

To me the picture lacks contrast and looks a little flat.
Try this: In post processing you might want to try running a brush randomly over the fields of yellow. If in LIghtroom, set the brush to -1 exposure with a flow of about 50%, up the contrast a little bit and maybe the saturation as well. Make sure the brush is really soft and make a big…[Read more]

You can isolate the subject with blur, but you can also isolate the subject with light. I think part of the problem is that the whole picture just sort of has a drab feel and you really want a flower to pop and be bright. The area around the flower might be served by some warmth with a big soft brush if you use LIghtroom or something similar.…[Read more]
