@pwalt … oh, you would have loved seeing this go up too then, I’m sure. It was pretty awesome…especially the night lift of the rotor and blades… so dramatic. 🙂

Very much like that last one @pwalt.
I look up and occasionally walk in to things, just like when I’m looking down.

@pwalt – yes, there is a way to do that. (I don’t have my camera on me so I cannot recall enough to explain). I will reply tonight.

Great shots, @pwalt. You should post the third one in this weekend’s challenge, “FAST”.

@pwalt – It was your encouragement to get that 70-300 that then led me to getting the 70-200 2.8 – I strongly encourage you to get this lens if you have the cash – oh my god is it great.

Yup – the autofocus is so fast and 2.8 at 200mm is heaven.
I kind of blame @pwalt for giving me the taste of the 70-300mm that whet my appetite for this lens.

Thanks for all of the feedback everyone – this really helps with some decisions here. If those of you who are happy to help out could do so, I think this could turn into a really high quality community without losing control through size. Brilliant. @tomdinning , @nelliemc and @pwalt – Thanks for offering to help out – […]

Where is your next big photography trip? I am off to Indonesia in December for almost 8 weeks. Might go to one or two other countries, but I am SOOO looking forward to this. Tryig to do some creative accounting to get a new lens before I go too (I blame @pwalt for that one). Where […]

Thank you @mopho, you’ve said that quite well! 🙂 Pam @pwalt almost always sketching is done from what you see. As a child maybe less so and as experience grows less so, but overall, you are recording some semblance of what is in front of you. You may alter it some, but sketching is “practice” for bigger […]

Boy was I dead wrong about the popularity of barns as a topic. lol
@pwalt – looks like you live in just the right area for it!
-
If only I had the guts to “trespass” onto the property of some of the seemingly abandoned barns around here. My shots are limited to what can be seen from the road … and only if it happens to be a ‘less traveled’ road! There are some really nice operations along busy roads that would be too dangerous to stop and shoot from.

Snap sort is pretty cool!
I often go off personal recommendation.
In fact I bought a 70-300 that @pwalt recommended on this forum! lol
