Absence makes the kit get dusty…It’s been a while… Sorry for the absence (did you notice I’ve not been skulking around lately?!), I’ve been a busy man. I went and bought something way more expensive than a camera!
It needed an interior built in it before I went off to Germany for a two week holiday so I spent all spare time on this, and…[Read more]

I don’t think a new self portrait could top my last attempt (though I have something in mind that I’ll be trying)… Here’s the previous one in the mean time. I have shared it on here before but some may not have seen it. Sorry if you have…

Oh @justian, that is so sad to hear! I hate computers and their ability to completely ruin your day. Good luck getting everything off the old hard drive, hope it isn’t too expensive…Check It Out

@iangad That’s a great shot. Something very different from the rest of the submissions! But I do like it…
Spotted this old thing at a country home I visited the other week. Not sure how much action it sees these days!

@silverbells That is a very sweet picture… And @joanna, I’m think the guy in yours looks like he’s been caught unprepared there! His arms down by his sides says ‘Wait a second, I wasn’t expecting this!’. Lol.
I caught this moment by chance. I had spotted the tunnel originally and the couple passed through just as I was framing up.

THROWDOWN: Public Signs of Affection…Anyone got any gooduns’ for PSA’s? Candid shots of lovers lost in each others eyes or a golden oldie couple sitting at the seaside? I’ll get things started…

Good throwdown @camerasinger. Love vanishing points! Here’s one from my trip to the US last year… On the way from Yosemite to Half Moon Bay.

@camerasinger I love that style of bridge! Wish we had more of them over this side of the pond…
This chap appeared just as I was leaving after taking people-less shots…

@ed-aldridge That sucks you had a knock to your confidence. I had a similar thing a few years back when taking photos at a festival. I am not a fan of direct confrontation either so it really did put me off shooting people. I don’t really enjoy it even now. Probably for the exact reason @admin Rob said. I don’t want people thinking I’m someone…[Read more]

Nice David @dchester1001… Is that a sunset out of a window? Incredible colours if it is!
This was at the beach the other week. It looks like a skate ramp but it’s actually a sculpture. No idea who it’s by, but looks like a hull of a boat.

Thanks @mikell. It is the old West Pier on Brighton beach on the English south coast. It was shut in the 70’s and has gradually fallen in to the sea since then thanks for storms and fires. It makes for a pretty haunting sight!

@bugadrienne Adrienne these are lovely. I really like the tone ranges, so much more range than I ever manage! And it doesn’t look like you suffer from shy subjects. Add another thumbs up to that first cat shot from me, very intense stare!Check It Out

Thanks @tersha.
I’ve hired a Canon 16-35mm L series lens for the weekend to take some interior shots of the studio at work. With only a 1 day weekend I forced myself to go out yesterday (complete with hangover) to try it in the great outdoors, so headed to Greenwich to get some skyline shots of Canary Wharf. I’m quite pleased with the results,…[Read more]
