Tim @timmcmurdo has hit the nail on the head with this still life. I’m a big fan of still life (and a big […]

I’ve selected 2 photo’s this week for an honorable mention because of their emotional content. If there is any way of grabbing someone’s attention in you picture, a little emotion will go a long way. This one from Tim @timmcmurdo will bring a tear to any dedicated photographer’s eye. I’m sure there’s a few of you […]

@timmcmurdo LOL! I didn’t really notice that before Tim, but I will readily admit given the nature of the subject at hand it’s a safe assumption to think that you’d get a complimentary order of large fries with every bridge ordered!!

@timmcmurdo There is NO WAY I could outrun you my friend! I have a medical condition that makes outrunning cheetahs, snakes and spiders impossible… and snails…. so yeh, basically, I guess I’d take one for the team and become “Snail/Spider Fodder”. I’d do it, too, for you all… that’s how I roll. LOL

Inspired of @timmcmurdo I tried the same photo in different processings. In my normal processing the colors kept the attention Taking the photo a step further only multiplied that impression But in B&W I started to get the contrast between the smooth and the rough I was seeking But it made no rule. And if this […]

I really like these “progress” posts. It’s cool to see how the pictures change! And I especially LOVE the last picture! Seems like spring is stuttering in around here as well … low 70’s one day, 1″ of snow the next … and so on!
-
Thank you. yes te spring is kind of lingering around while the calendar says still it is winter. Oh, yes, in Iceland we have only two seasons according to calencar and official dates for the change. But the 24. of april (first day of summer) is far from summer most of the time, that comes first in june.

You can really feel the contrasting textures in the B&W image. With another challenge, the saturated color could be really interesting too.

Thanks ๐ I kind of like that too

@timmcmurdo I have yet to explore the insides of any barns. They always make for some great shadows/light/dark photos, though. Thanks for adding to the thread!

This Toad kinda spends more time napping than really moving! LOL But I do stand corrected, there is indeed some hoppage involved here, my friend! You always bring a smile to this warty green face… ๐
