This was taken in the spring when the lake was thawing. Seagulls are a pain but I couldn’t resist this as I thought a fight was brewing. Just as I snapped this picture passersby scared them all and they flew away. When they noticed I was shooting they apologized. Oh well, it is what it is.
I took this photo at a local park in Feb around 5:30 pm central time. 35 mm lens with a Nikon 7100, 1/500, f11, ISO 100. I started with an original color and want to do a BW split tone. I am having a hard time lightening up the shadows and bring down the exposure of the sun. I am asking for any suggestions. I really don’t want to crop o…[Read more]

So here goes. I am new at forums and putting my pics online. I would like any advice as I want to grow in my photography skills. I have enjoyed, Light Stalking and Photzy. If I am doing this wrong, please let me know. I can’t remember the settings for this photo. I am a fan of fall and the shades of browns.
