Question #1: I love titles! Why should photographers limit themselves when other art forms use titles all the time? Writers and poets (usually), playwrights, film writers, painters, etc., use titles to deepen meaning, give hints about context, individualize, and so forth. Photos often need a context to make them more accessible to the viewer. What’s wrong with that? There is a difference between a photo that is unintentionally confusing or poorly crafted that might need an explanation to communicate something at all, and a well crafted, multifaceted image that is enhanced by a creative title.
