        I am 75 years old. I am a prostate cancer survivor. 5 year anniversary June 2014. I was very involved in photography in the 70’s when it was film and darkrooms. I won’t bore you with the details of the last 40 years, suffice it to say I am back to photography. The learning curve will be unbelievable but that’s good…Keeps the brain working… Never to late to learn.

          I’m a newcomer to this site myself. I’ve found many interesting articles about photography in its pages, as well as received comments and suggestions to my own images in its forums. Nice site to learn and share about photography. So:

          a) Welcome;
          b) Whether it was 40 years ago or not, the basics and most important remains the same – f-stop, shutter speed, composition, light and colour – the rest, with time, you´ll see it’s peanuts;
          c) Happy shooting!
