I have been taking photos since about 1978, starting with film and the colour darkroom.
These days, i use digital and aspire to conceptual art – but I “develop” RAW files in Lightroom, I don’t create images in Photoshop. To me, photography is about “making the invisible, visible” (Klee). I aim to produce images, sometimes surreal ones, that show that the real world is a more interesting place than you might think; I am less interested in showing that my imagination is more interesting than the real world (it may be, but that, to me, is more about painting than photography).
I am a keen member of the RPS, have an ARPS distinction, and am on the committee of the RPS Western Region.
