  What got me hooked on photography was the act of seeing and composing a shot of Lost Lagoon (Stanley Park, Vancouver) with a swan, weeping willow branches and the city skyline in the background when I was 8 with my parents Kodak 110 camera. The resulting photo was, of course, grainy, flat and disappointing. But the memory of that magic moment of seeing stayed with me.
