I am an amateur photographer living in Derby UK.
I have had SLR cameras for 35 years and DSLRs for the past 5 years.
I got really hooked when I joined a photo group on Facebook called Togsquad.
This group is run by the picture editor of our local paper the Derby Telegraph and winning shots from our weekly and monthly challenges are featured regularly in the paper.
It is very satisfying to get a picture printed in the paper and this motivates me to keep submitting shots.
I am retired so don’t have a lot of money for kit but got a Nikon D5300 using the prize money from a local competition that I was lucky enough to win.
Cant afford the Nikon Speedlite so looking at unbranded alternatives.
I would welcome advice on this.
