One Saturday our youth pastor took a bunch of us kids to the UCLA campus, gave us some old cameras and film then said ‘go shoot!’ I took a picture of a fountain. He developed our black and white film and made prints for us. Mine turned out exceptional and I was hooked.

I bought a Pentax Spotmatic in 1971 and graduated to a Nikon F2 in 1974. I got a job in a camera shop and took lots of photo classes in college. My studies included View Camera Techniques and Dye Transfer Printing.

Today I am just a hobbyist using a Nikon D70 and a Galaxy Note 4.

            Nothing wrong with a D70.

I lend mine to a friend. He shots from it regularly get printed in magazines.
