I’ve been taking pictures forever or at least 60 years. Every once in a while I think I’ve advanced from a beginner photographer to an intermediate photographer then I see a good photo and it’s back to reality. I spend a lot of time taking pictures, looking at pictures and talking about pictures. No idea what the 1st photograph that got me hooked on photography or why I enjoy taking photographs. For me it doesn’t matter, I just love it. About the only thing I don’t like about photography is that when I’m taking pictures I don’t get to really enjoy what I’m seeing.

Welcome to the site, @edtappe! I know the feeling. I still consider myself a beginner in so many ways, which is one of the reasons I keep going. There is so much beauty out there, even in the ashes. I feel that I get to enjoy the moment as the image pops up on my screen in editing. I look forward to your contributions.
