I’m new to the forums but I’ve been following Light Stalking for a few years. I’m an amateur although I have sold a few stock photos and decor items with my images on them. I love the fine art aspect of photography, and that is where I really want to focus my efforts. I’m drilling down on composition, because while I can fix a lot of exposure and color problems in post, unless you can crop something well, there’s not a lot of “fix” for a really bad composition. I have an older entry-level Canon (t5) and I’m considering an upgrade soon, and I also have a DJI Mavic Air and a Canon PowerShot. One thing I want to learn with my landscapes is how to mask and brush light (exposure) into parts of the shot, I’m just not good at that yet, and it can really enhance a great composition.
On the personal side, I’m 61 and I’m a system administrator/server architect for the DOD and I’m getting ready to break into Cybersecurity. I have a degree, I’ve worked on the edge of it for several years, and my next certification will have me ready to plunge in full on.
