I bought my first camera, a Nikon, in 1972 and set up a dark room in the bathroom of our base housing in Stuttgart. Taking and developing photos was the most engaging thing I had ever done. Alas! Film was too expensive and too hard to continue hence a 35 year break. I shoot with a Canon, but now, more frequently, with an Olympus OM-D. This lightweight system is like a miracle for me. It is hard for me to concentrate on anything other than sharp focus, because that is my challenge “in my old age”. I am happiest taking nature photos and next most happy taking travel photos. I always hope for the unusual. I am an exceptionally hard critic on my photos. Sometimes I think I have never taken a good one in my life. I don’t know if this forum will be good or bad for me. Oh, and I can be a “lazy” photographer on so many levels.

I am motivated but getting the photos posted seems like a big learning hurdle for me. I have to study on how to size the files so they meet site requirements. There are directions for Flickr, but I am on SmugMug so I have to study connecting there, too.
