Allows Edits? YesSorry you missed it as it was really a sight to see. The moon was brilliant last evening also but not a Blood Moon. The eclipse began pretty early here on the west coast of the U.S. Otherwise, like you, I may have been asleep!

Allows Edits? YesTobie, Seeing your photo, I wish I had a 300 mm lens. Despite the city lights and smog that you mentioned, it shows so much detail. Amazing!

Thanks Chrissie – just for clarity: my shot above was not taken during the blood moon – it was taken a while before that. The blood moon was beautiful to see but a loss case for photographic purposes from where I stayed. I think there was a thin layer of fleece clouds high up which made it even worse.

Allows Edits? Yes@Tobie, I’ve read a number of posts on line from different areas of the world that missed the event due to weather conditions. Not to worry, it will come around again in 2033 (when I’m viewing it from above 😉

Allows Edits? YesGordon, The soft muted colors work beautifully and the negative space with a vertical format. Could be an ad for Brittany Ferries.

that had crossed my mind, Chrissie, but so far BF have failed to make me an offer I can’t refuse! I’m probably cheap enough to accept a couple of free tickets. lol!

Ouch! I’d love to test that Sigma on my D600! 🙂 Not bad at all for a lens not coming from the Canonikon stalls!

Thanks Tobie. These were done with my Sony A77 and Tamron 10-24mm lens. 10mm, 30 seconds, f3.5, ISO 1600. In camera dark frames.
