  Sry Bugz know this isn’t the ST..but…..stalk from bottom to top leaves us with what if with no ending….lighting is harsh…………….background well in yer face and bottom right flower/pod is so distracting…unnatural colours and overblown just about sums it up……………yeah realise this is the nice section but how to move forwards without some criticism ………….
  
  Tip…………..taking an image of something simple has to be right in compo and focus…….this doesn’t look in focus!

  No negative retort Falx, and thanks for visiting the picture. I knew it was not a competition picture by any means but I thought it was beautiful as a wild “weed” flower growing in the dark cover of rather deep ditch. The colors are close to natural however. I do admit that the original, taken hand held from 10 feet away out the car window with a very sensitive Macro lens, caused a minor blur that I over-sharpened in Picasa. The weed was very tall (about 4 feet) and the flowers seemed to generate and bloom from root to meristem hence the endless stem. To have cropped out the bottom bud would have also lost part of the small flower. I considered that then discarded it within my philosophy that sometimes you get the mud with the diamond . . . better to keep a little mud and not lose the diamond. Thanks for the time you devoted and know that I find you very perceptive in judging good pictures.

  Im maybe wrong to get involved in stuff and sections of this forum that are a bit twee…..just cant stand the ‘oh that’s lovely’ when obviously not……..im accused of posting images in the ST that should be in the quiet section…….hey not my way…..I say it and give out ammunition for some comeback……not a personal attack….just me setting out my stall! 🙂
