AdeThank you all for taking the time to look & comment on my image. I’ll take your suggestions on board & then decide on a final edit. At least for now. 🙂

A reedit that I think works better.Hi Dahlia,
Thank you for your helpful comments. I agree with your comment about bringing out more contrast in the tree & I will reedit the image.
Thanks again. AdeVery nice
The horizon looks a bit off. The colours in the second are rather harsh to my eye in fact I might go closer to the first image & reduce the clarity to give it a softer look. I would play with saturation & vibrancy on the warm colours to bring them out a little more.
I agree with the idea of converting to b&w then trying it as a high key image by increasing the whites & lights through curves.
Great image & a worthy winner. Well done.
Hi Rob, the phrase four seasons in one day can describe the weather here, but tourist don’t visit Ireland for its climate that’s for sure. June won’t be cold unless you think 14c & higher is cold. Luckily as photographers we can adapt to most types of weather. Ade
Hi Rob, the Skelligs are a group of islands off the south west coast of Ireland. Skellig Michael was home to a Monastic site for many hundreds of years. On the island are the beehive huts where the monks lived. If you’re a Star Wars fan you’ll see the Skelligs in the new Star Wars movie being released later this year.
Thanks so much for all the kind remarks. I took the on an elevated site above an old ruin & the beach below on the road outside Ballinskelligs. Skellig Michael had a very distinct blue colour to it maybe due to the blue sky reflecting off the water. The waters around the island were so distinct as almost not looking like water at all. I’ve never seen water like it before. Thanks so much for taking the time to look & comment on my image it’s much appreciated. Ade
Thanks Tobie, I was so concentrated on other aspects during post that I forgot the basics. Ade
Thanks Tobie, much appreciated.
AdeI like this very much maybe just lighten the dark shadows under the chin & neck but as I say I like it.
Lovely image well done. Ade
