And yes, it is misfortune that the pic here looks duller than in ps 🙁 A big nuisance for a forum dedicated to nuances in photography
Thank you, Reyers and Falx for the comments! I do not think the flowers are competing, rather play together with the lips and eye shades. But I’ve made everything paler and the face brighter, this is what I am getting:
Does anyone see my post? I do not… (((
Trying once again:
Anna-goth.jpg by b.yoshka on Light StalkingI feel that the potential of this image is much higher than this. It looks great in BW also, but what do you think should be done to make the character pop out?”
Thank you, Andy! Yes, I know and use the curves technique. Here I altered the colour tone of the photo specifically. But maybe I’ve overdone it for clouds indeed. Thanks for pointing me this!

Finisterra (edit 2) by b.yoshka on Light StalkingCertainly more attractive – thanks for suggestions!
Thanks for suggestions! Everyone seems to agree on making the sky more pronounced – I’ll certainly give it a try. All other options are available – I do not use Lightroom preferring CaptureOne instead, but I did try increasing details in Photoshop, in particular with OnOne Perfect Clarity plugin. The result was not satisfactory: disappearance of this a bit mystical misty look and too much focus on, in reality, not very important first plan boats. But I’ll try to darken the sky – thanks again!
