Thank you
Thank you Gary for your lovely feedback, it is greatly appreciated! This is exactly the kind of feedback I always hope to get, honest and constructive. I am keen to do better and am not afraid to learn something new.
You are correct, I am on the east coast and north of Sydney. Lol
Thank you for your tips billyspad, will do my research and when free money allows, I will consider all options for new software.
Thank you Graham, my plan for light reading next week after a big week for me.
Thank you Gary, feels good to have provided something with so many lovely comments
Thanks for your comments Dahlia. There was quite a bit going on at the top, but will give it a go
Thank you Tom
Thanks billyspad.
I am trying to decide between Lightroom 5 or a Canon product Digital Photo Professional 4. I have Photoshop on my other computer but cannot get it transferred to this one for some reason. I do use the sharpen tool, but then find that I get too much “noise” not sure if that is the right term. I also use the clarity and vibrance tools but try to stay away from saturation as I cannot get it to give me realistic type colours. I do not want images that are clearly messed around with too much or too badly
Thanks for the viewpoint Graham and the tips. All pointers are taken into consideration and I will try and remember them when attempting something like this again. I was not sure if the image was sharp enough to crop it as tightly. I really wish I could get my images more sharp and more vivid in colour. Many of my images seem so flat in comparison to other photos.
Hi billyspad. I was trying to use the leaf for two reasons, one as reference point for the size of the gumnuts, and the other to lead the eye to the focus. Clearly that did not work.
Thank you Graham, yes Nature is wonderful!
Wow, thank you billyspad!!! I am glad to have found something that has come out ok!
Weeeeellll billyspad, the camera strap was………..
Oh stuff it, I cannot remember ;-p
Hi billyspad
Thank you, duly noted about the exif, will do so in the future.
With regards the colours, I did not actually change anything there, this is what it was like. With regards the shutter speed, my hands are not steady, so maybe I should have used the tripod instead. I need to get one of those remote buttons I think, so I do not have to touch the camera in this instance. I have one for the smaller camera, but not the 6D. I have some trouble with the sharpness due to my shaky hands and getting really frustrated with my lack or good results because of that.

Thank you for your comments. I do like the drama in the post shot too. I do like drama, texture and a story and am trying to find my feet in how best to show that in my shots. Some shots are just shots, but some I do like to try and tell a story.

I agree about the posts, but at the time I took that, I was told I should have only my subject focused, oh it all gets so confusing sometimes. LOL
With the lemons, would I not then have broken the thirds rule and then be doing that all wrong again?
