Such a cute kid! The legs of the people behind are distracting and lead my eyes out of the image and away from the subject. Also, I would change to composition so the child was not in the direct center of the image. Like the monochrome!Check It Out

Thanks for the feedback folks! Sorry I forgot to post some basic info.
Taken with Canon 60D, Lensbaby with Macro filters, Iso 800, 1/200sec, 50mm, F2.8. This was a handheld shot, very difficult to get the stamen in complete focus.Check It Out

I agree with no definite subject. Also, it doesn’t feel like the horizon is exactly in the center (which I feel would give this more balance). I like that it is sharp and has a realistic HDR feel, not overdone.

What works for me is that you got the focus on the stamen well on the flower. I think this feels underexposed to me. I don’t see any true white in this photo, so it feels too dark for me. Too much gray, not enough white. Also, if you are going to do BW, I feel the flower needs to fill the frame because the background doesn’t add to the photo.…[Read more]
