This shot is sort of intriguing, but my eye is drawn to the brightness in the upper right, which isn’t sharp enough to satisfy my gaze. The mid ground is perfectly exposed and perfectly in focus, but there’s nothing significant to see there. And the lower left seems like there might be a pretty cool subject (panhandler?) but at least on my particular monitor, it’s too dark to see any detail. I think if there was just a little more detail visible on the panhandler guy, my eye would feel more satisfied, because that’s where my gaze ultimately wants to rest. Not to be positive or anything, but I like how the light is hitting the face of the sitter.

The tent is sort of an interesting and exotic-seeming element to the photo. I kind of like it. Puts the owl in some sort of context and makes me spend more time looking at the photo. makes me ask questions.

But if you wanted to keep the tent, I’d consider moving the watermark to the lower right corner instead.
