Hi, Thanks for your comments. I see your point, but this is the photo I was aiming for with limited depth of field. I must say I was impressed with the detail offered by this lens compared to my zoom.Check It Out

Hi. Many thanks for your comments. AS I have said before, I do not have ND grad filters yet, but I did bracket the exposure for HDR treatment. Below is an uncropped example. This mix is extreme to me but it shows the foreground detail, which is not that interesting, apart from the boat.

Not possible here as it was taken from a hide above the lake. It was sitting in the water when I started to take the photos, but raised up, and I kept shooting. Hence the photo was not cropped. For me, the blurred wings show movement.Check It Out

I have been thinking about ND grad filters, but firstly wanted to investigate HDR as a simple alternative. Again, there are so many ways to do the merging and the BW conversion to get the desired image. I had mainly aimed for detail but this results in losses elsewhere. Here is another attempt starting from a RAW file.
I will likely get the ND…[Read more]

It looks like the fence is too close to the bath eave with a smaller f value. You could change the line of sight to remove the fence from the background, or even move the bath in front of a flowering bush for more impact.Check It Out

The background is too strong and distracts from the action.
