Sometimes I’m like one of my old lens – just can’t seem to focus.

1. I leave the lens cap on except for one lens I lost the cap for – it’s stored safely in my bag with the lens hood on.
2. I leave the battery in but turned off
3. I can save many times without effecting the quality of the Tiff file but will save once for a Jpeg when processing is finished and will not edit this again.
4. Storage is cheap these days so I just use a separate hard drive as a back-up in my pc. The ones I might need to print are stored around the web to.
5. Might need to see an example of the blurriness. Could be trying to handhold at a slow shutter speed, not focussing on the correct spot.
6. I watermark bottom right hand corner – it’s small and yes it can be cropped out. I’m not a fan of big watermarks over the middle of images.
7. Any camera that you’d like to use and learn with.
8. I’d purchase my main lens and would only consider renting if I really needed one that I didn’t have. Find a friend and borrow a lens to see if you like it.
9. Chuck a few of those silica packs in your camera bag, take a cloth to keep your body dry and something to protect your camera if it rains.

10. Just have funI did move a lot of furniture and tried to leave the place as I found it – so much sticky alcohol residue everywhere. You can take a virtual tour of my next location and it’ll require a two light set-up due to the ambience/darkness of the place. Just press mute before hitting the link

Must admit I’ve seen a lot of Photographers charging for a service on FaceBook that probably should still be learning their craft first. Good luck to them really as it gives me hope I’ll be able to charge shortly.

We were lucky enough to be given the top floor of the Picture Lounge Bar in Surfers Paradise to play with. Had to contend with afternoon sun light streaming through the light curtains. My next venue I’m using coming up has no windows so should be cool, might need to invest in another softbox though.

August 12, 2011 at 12:23 pm in reply to: QUESTION 10 (I think) What do you do with your photos? #54529I sell a few framed prints from time to time at my RedBubble account. I also have sold works I’ve had hanging off my own wall. Next step is to get my work out more so in the public eye and see how I go.

I’ve organised meet-ups with a group I host elsewhere that is a lot of fun. Mainly Brisbane/Gold Coast areas so if anyone is near by and is interested, let me know.
